When I select a patch on the SampleTank controller, set the MIDI channel in Sonar to match and press a key on my MIDI controller keyboard, the corresponding red key on the SampleTank virtual keyboard lights up and the meter moves on the SONAR MIDI track strip. So then I delete that plug-in and load SampleTank 3 as a VST-2 in the audio track and select SampleTank 3 as the output for the MIDI track.
